What is magnesium bicarbonate?
Magnesium Bicarbonate is a highly bioavailable (readily absorbed and utilized) form of magnesium, a crucial mineral which is involved in as many as 800 enzymatic reactions and regulates 3,700 proteins in the body. Our body’s energy currency, ATP (adenosine triphosphate), is produced in the mitochondria during a process called the Krebs cycle, of which 6 of 8 steps are dependent upon magnesium. If you are magnesium deficient, which the vast majority of the population suffers from, you will most likely struggle to produce adequate amounts of ATP. Unfortunately, magnesium is no longer present in our soils which means that it is no longer in our foods, therefore you will most likely benefit from magnesium supplementation.

When you experience stress, whether it be psychological, emotional, physical or environmental, magnesium is depleted rapidly. Adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol (hormones released during a stress response) cause magnesium to be excreted through our urine in excess amounts. A little bit of “woosah” alone might not cut it if you are trying to manage your stress while also being deficient in magnesium.
Be weary of supplementing with just any magnesium supplement you find at your health store. It is common to find most of these supplements paired with calcium (a magnesium antagonist). Calcium is considered to be proinflammatory and excitatory while magnesium is anti-inflammatory and helps the muscles to relax. Some forms of health store supplements contain magnesium oxide which is poorly absorbed in the body. You may notice you are much calmer and less stressed when you start to supplement with something that is easily absorbed like magnesium bicarbonate.
It is recommended that you START SLOW! by adding 1-2 tbsp to your water or drinks. You may also drink it on it’s own on an empty stomach and increase your intake until bowel tolerance. You may notice a white residue on the bottom. It is recommended that you drink the clear solution only and leave the residue on the bottom.
What is an imprint?
Water has memory and can retain information imprinted into it through means of light and sound.
